About the Job

Vaco Logistics has an immediate need in Memphis, Tn for a Quality Assurance Engineer with 5+ years of experience. The primary role of this position will be to ensure that our products arrive from overseas with proper specifications as developed by our product development team so we can ensure that our products comply with all specifications.

Essential responsibilities include, but are not limited to, a previous Asian Supplier management; an enthusiasm to learn all of the company's products, the ability to clearly and effectively communicate all QA issues to our overseas factories; putting firm policies and procedures in place to ensure maximum internal QA effectiveness; training and monitoring the QA staff in all responsibilities regarding the careful inspection and documentation of QA issues for every container of product received from our overseas factories; maintain all records of miscellaneous charges accrued for the reclamation of rejected products due to QA issues; develop systems and procedures and monitor and report key performance indicators; evaluate effectiveness of inspection and process control mechanisms; produce and submit reports for management; etc.

Travel to China will be required multiple times per year, sometimes on short notice.
Requirements: Engineering Degree, 5+ years in QA experience, strong understanding and knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel and Access, strong written and oral communication skills; project management abilities; team player and a long-term career oriented mindset.
