Job: Demand Planner (IRC2635)

Job Description

The Demand Planner is responsible for the demand planning and forecasting process that results in consensus Forecasts for the Neurosurgery and Orthobiologics Divisions.  This position coordinates with Demand Planners, or equivalents, in other Divisions to compile global forecasts for the assigned product lines.


Primary responsibilities are to:

•         Perform data collection and compilation to generate rolling average, basic trends, and base statistical forecasts for review with Marketing and Sales

•         Responsible to produce consensus Sales Forecasts each month, that are owned by the Divisional Presidents and their Marketing groups

•         Documents entire demand planning process and follows the standardized procedures

•         Provides KPI reporting on forecasts, forecast accuracy, and new product introductions

•         Provides support to the demand planning process used in other Divisions

•         Identifies and loads data into Oracle to facilitate data collection and reporting

•         Provides data and then leads or participates in the Sales & Operations Planning process meetings

•         Assists with development of requirements, test scripts, and implementation of upgrades to Oracle and with any new demand planning software and process improvements

•         Performs other related duties as assigned

Job Requirements
Education


•         College Degree in a relavant area is preferred - advanced degree a plus

•         Forecasting (e.g. IBF) or APICS certification a plus

Experience and Skill Sets

•         Minimum 2 years demand planning or 5 years supply chain planning experience

•         Prefer experience with ERP systems and forecasting software - Oracle a plus

•         Strong communication skills - experience dealing with international sites a plus

•         Sound leadership qualities and demonstrated good judgment

•         Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

•         Proficient to advanced Microsoft Excel skills; Microsoft Access skills a plus

•         Ability to travel up to 10%

Other

•         Ability to communicate well with all levels of staff and with other departments, both written and verbal.  Good negotiation and feedback skills
