San Antonio Federal Credit Union (SACU) seeks a Compliance Monitoring Analyst for its growing Credit Union. The Compliance Monitoring Analyst is a part of SACU's Regulatory and Legal Monitoring Team.
Qualifications Include:
·Bachelors degree in finance or related area or comparable experience gained in work related environment
·2 years Credit Union or Banking experience.
·2 years strong real estate and consumer lending experience
·2 years lending and/or deposit related legal/regulatory compliance management
·Consumer credit underwriting experience
·Loan origination and servicing processes experience
·Quality control experience
·File review and auditing processes
·Standardized policy and procedure methodology
·Familiarity with consumer lending laws and regulations.
·Familiarity with loan producers (Dealers, brokers, correspondent lenders)
·Loan origination, servicing systems and report writing
·MS Office products (Word, Excel)
·Analytical and detail oriented
·Technically proficient to perform at a high level of accomplishment
·Deals with complexity comfortably and learns quickly when facing new situations
·Analyzes and validates the decisions of others
·Writes clearly to deliver effective communications

Hours:
- Monday- Friday: 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Duties Include:
·Utilizes existing risk and control assessments of departmental functions to perform audits of loan origination and servicing processes for consistency with established procedures.
·Performs review of critical documentation requirements for legal and regulatory compliance and operational completeness and accuracy.
·Analyzes underwriting decisions for decision quality based on analysis, wisdom, experience and judgment.
·Recalculates debt-to-income ratios, loan-to values and advance calculations to test accuracy and completeness.
·Reviews HMDA source documents and loan system inputs for accuracy.
·Reviews loan servicing processes for effectiveness in the areas of customer service, payment processing, collections and special conditions.
·Assesses managements’ participation and oversight of critical loan origination and servicing functions.
·Recommends policy and procedure additions and revisions and corrective action plans.
·Monitors for producer, region and underwriter issues that may create concentrated or excessive risk.
·Performs targeted reviews of closed loans for special programs or newly instituted policy changes.
·Develops individual plans for timely execution of file reviews as determined by management.
·Develops relationships with loan origination and servicing staff to secure information necessary to complete reviews.
·Continuously informs compliance analysts and manager of progress and results and immediately brings discovered risk issues to light.
·Recognizes gaps in required knowledge based on exploring more complex functions within the company and actively works to acquire new knowledge and skills.
