Position Title: UG CAD Designer, Senior
Reporting To: Director, Advanced Propulsion Systems
Job purpose: Computer aided design and release of integrated systems and system level components for vehicles and refueling systems.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Work with the design engineers to develop the detailed design of integrated systems to meet customer expectations.
• Create models of components and installations using proper 3D solid modeling techniques including complex assemblies.
• Create production drawings to ASME and automotive standards and follow the documented release procedures for issuing the drawings to production and procurement.
• Support component selection, specification generation, sourcing and vendor communication.
• Perform ECA changes to existing drawings.
• Generate and maintain engineering Bill of Materials for development projects.
• Adopt and implement the Quality Assurance Procedures-QAP and Departmental Work Instructions-DWI, identified in QEMS Employee Training Matrix located on the LAN.

Education and/or Experience:
Required:
• Engineering Design and Drafting Certificate or a minimum of 5 years experience in Design and Drafting
• Unigraphics drafting and modeling courses (CAD), UG NX Version 3.0 or higher
• Knowledge of ASME Y14.5M-1994

Physical Job Requirements:
This is primarily a sedentary office position with employee working in a controlled office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use their hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and telephone keypad or to write, as well as talk and hear. They are occasionally required to stand, walk or sit, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to focus.
This position involves occasionally performing mechanical assembly and lifting up to 50 pounds. Some travel may be involved requiring employee to lift their own luggage and walk throughout airports. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
