THE POSITION: Junior Real Estate Analyst
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to fulfill a Junior Analyst position on our team of experienced real estate professionals. Applicant should be well organized; detail oriented, and has the ability to multitask in a fast paced work environment. Strong communication skills and ability to work independently are a must. Many opportunities for growth within the company for qualified candidates.
Main Duties:
- Learn to appraise various types of real property to establish values for lending purposes, portfolio management, and other valuation necessities.
- Learn to estimate property value by conducting site inspections and using standardized market, cost and income valuation approaches.
- Gather and analyze information from a variety of sources, in order to update information for valuation purposes.
- Investigate complaints on valuations; make recommendations regarding resolution of such complaints; explain findings to clients.
- Prepare various records and reports, including those related to appraisals of real property.
- Interact with lending institutions, appraisal management companies, and various real estate companies.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements:
- Applicant must possess a Bachelor’s degree (preferably in a business related major)
- Must have the ability to interpret property information.
- Ability to perform market research and analysis.
- Have an understanding of the New York City real estate markets a plus.
