DESCRIPTION / RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position is responsible for the technical support of all McCormick Intel-based servers. These duties include:
• Designing and implementing scalable server solutions that provides a secure, highly-available, flexible server environment in support of mission critical business applications.
• Administration of McCormick’s Active Directory environment.
• Complete support of Vmware environment, Citrix environment, MS Windows and Linux servers.
• Management of infrastructure support tools.
• Standardization of all things related to the server infrastructure.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Technical certifications (ex. MCSE, VCP) or a minimum of 5 years of in-depth prior experience in an IT Technical environment required.
• BS in Computer Science or Information Systems Management, MCSE Win2003, VCP (Vmware Certified Professional) preferred.
• 3+ years Vmware experience required.
• 3+ years Citrix experience required.
• 2+ years Linux experience required.
• Strong technical experience in Operating Systems (Win2003/2008 Server) required.
• Strong technical experience in Applications (Altiris and Mcafee EPO) preferred.
• Strong technical experience of Network protocols (Ethernet, TCP/IP) required.
• Strong technical experience of Directory Services (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP) required.
• Strong technical experience on Hardware (HP servers, Blades, Netapp SAN connectivity, components, peripherals) preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects - required
• Strong customer focus required
• Demonstrated process, procedural and documentation development and implementation experience required.
• Demonstrated strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills required
• Ability to build relationships, interface effectively with all levels of the organization, and think strategically required.
• Strong project management, organizational, and prioritization skills required.
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to travel nationally and internationally on occasion required
