SENIOR ACCOUNT PLANNER

Position Summary:
Senior Account Planner who has passion for business building, expertise in storytelling, strong consumer learning capabilities and experience in multicultural work.  This position requires brand leadership, cultural stewardship, and the ability to bring them together in order to unlock business growth.

Responsibilities include: strategic development and troubleshooting, idea generation, agency and departmental leadership, as well as relationship development.

Background Requirements:
·          5 (+) years’ experience in Account Planning, Account Management, Creative or related discipline
·          Strategic planning experience on a CPG (consumer packaged goods) account
·          Bachelors in Marketing/Advertising, Social Sciences, Journalism or Research preferred with strong academic performance (i.e. GPA, honors, etc.)

Skill/Knowledge Requirements:
·          Strong working knowledge of each area of agency’s business (media, creative, broadcast and print production, networked messaging (primarily digital and mobile), research, promotions, public relations and finance)
·          Outstanding narrative development and delivery skills

Key Responsibilities (Detail):

LEADERSHIP and RELATIONSHIPS:
·          Ability to establish relationship(s) and work with mid-to-senior level clients in marketing/brand management, as well as insight disciplines
·          Good mentor, teacher and counselor to others
·          Self-starter who embraces opportunity to leverage agency tools, but comfortable adapting for own purposes or developing new processes to meet brand/agency need.
·          Serve as a liaison between Bromley, research partner organizations and client organizations.
-          Develop close working relationships with research suppliers
-          Cultivate relationships with client constituencies (brand management, market research departments, etc.)

STRATEGIC/CREATIVE DEVELOPMENT AND TROUBLESHOOTING:
·          Strategic
-          Ability to establish self as thought leader in agency and with client teams via strategic guidance on business
-          Designer and facilitator of strategic tools and exercises
-          Ability to negotiate and/or serve as team facilitator with goal of bringing team to consensus

          Creative
-          Develop and implement inspirational methods to aid in the transformation of strategy to powerful creative messaging
-          Champion brand’s essence, equity and character throughout the creative process



RESEARCH (CONCEPT/DESIGN/EXECUTION):
Have working knowledge and extensive practical experience in the conceptualization, design and implementation of consumer and market research, to include:
          Recommendations on research to answer key business issues
          Development of relevant, actionable research objectives
          Participation in development of research briefs that clearly outline steps to be taken
          Consultation on survey instrument design, tabulation plans
          Topline analysis, reporting and interpretation of research data
          Brand implications and recommendations

PROJECT MANAGEMENT:
·          Ability to focus on day-to-day planning needs as well as “big picture” thinking
·          Successfully manages assigned account(s), with minimal to no supervision
·          Coordinates workload with other agency departments effectively and efficiently
·          Oversees direct reports’ work to ensure top quality and accuracy
·          Runs client and internal meetings effectively and efficiently
·          Keeps superiors in the loop of account status (opportunities, issues, etc.)
FINANCIAL:
·          Fills out time sheets every day, turning them in on a weekly basis
·          Maintain awareness of hours scoped and steward progress throughout year
·          Complete T&Es and submit within 2 weeks of travel
