POSITION SUMMARY:

 






PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Leads IT strategic and operational planning to achieve business goals by fostering innovation, prioritizing IT initiatives, and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future IT systems across the organization.

  2. Develops and maintains an appropriate IT organizational structure that supports the needs of the business.

  3. Establishes IT departmental goals, objectives, and operating procedures.

  4. Acts as an advocate for the organization’s IT vision via regular written and in-person communications with the senior management team, department heads, and end users.

  5. Identifies opportunities for the appropriate and cost-effective investment of financial resources in IT systems and resources, including staffing, sourcing, purchasing, and in-house development.

  6. Develops, tracks, and controls the information technology annual operating and capital budgets.

  7. Ensures continuous delivery of IT services through oversight of staff usage and monitoring of IT systems performance.

  8. Reviews hardware and software acquisition and maintenance contracts.

  9. Keeps current with trends and issues in the IT industry, including current technologies and prices. Advises, counsels, and educates senior management on their competitive or financial impact.

  10. Supervises recruitment, development, retention, and organization of all IT staff in accordance with corporate budgetary objectives and personnel policies.

  11. Coordinates and facilitates consultation with management and staff to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations.

  12. Identifies and develops continuous improvement team members.

  13. Functioning as an expert resource in the use of Six Sigma tools.

  14. Assisting in identifying high-value continuous improvement opportunities.

  15. Leading teams and coaching Green Belts in their improvement activities.

  16. Performs related duties as assigned.









MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Familiarity with industry standards, key company strategies, and corresponding technology road map.

  • Ability to build collaboration and support across the enterprise

  • Ability to facilitate creative and strategic discussions in order to address emerging problems and opportunities

  • Ability to work with all levels of clients in a highly dynamic environment

  • Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills to motivate teams in achieving shared objectives
