Location: New York, NY 10017

Multi billion company seeks a Financial Accountant to join their elite finance group.  The External Reporting groups responsibilities include the preparation and filing of 10Ks and 10Qs, preparation the financial reports, variance analyses, ad hoc reports, and analyses with high visibility to management. The candidate will also be responsible for the other regulatory reporting requirements such as footnotes and management’s discussion and analysis. In addition the candidate will assist in the implementation of new accounting pronouncements or in accounting research related to financial statement presentation and disclosures. They will also serve as effective liaison with external auditors on reporting matters.

•  Bachelors Degree in Accounting is required. At least three years previous experience in financial accounting and/or financial audit/reporting.


• CPA certification strongly preferred.


• Ideally, two years experience in public accounting, preferably with a Big 4 audit firm.


• Possess comprehensive understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and SEC reporting requirements to ensure the Company’s compliance in external reports.


• Experience in and the ability to analyze, summarize and present information to various management levels (including senior & executive) of review. Must have the ability to work overtime during peak reporting periods
