Position Description:
Candidate will be responsible for developing a build plan/MPS that is aligned with sales forecast, inventory targets and available capacity. Will work with internal and external factories to make sure MPS is followed and will be responsible for achieving on time delivery established goals. Work to resolve material shortages, production delays, yield issues and other potential schedule delays. Also will be responsible together with Sales Department to assure high level of customer satisfaction and ensure supply chain software parameters are respected and planned accurately.
Candidate will manage product life cycle from production ramp to discontinuation, using planning methods such as make to order or make to stock. Works to resolve material shortages, production delays, yield issues and other potential schedule conflicts.
Additionally, candidate will be asked to lead SCM projects outside his/her day to day role as part of SCM's continuos improvement project.
Successful candidate will needs to demonstrate ability to plan, evaluate and present ideas and concepts. Reviews regional forecasts and works with Demand Fulfillment to align weekly build plan and resolve issues when needed.
Qualifications:
Formal experience with an ERP System and prior experience using a formal MPS/MRP process. Experience using an Advance Planning System (APS)like Adexa or i2, SAP APO is a big plus.
Strong preference for APICS certification with 2-3 years of experience in demand management or master scheduler and 2-3 years of experience using SAP/R3 and some kind of manufacturing WIP tracking system such as PROMIS. Ability to use email as a communication tool. Very good analytical skills and ability to communicate effectively. Intermediate/Advance excel user.
