Regional Sales Manager for the Dallas, TX region responsible for distributor management level contact, contractor, consultant and end user support in coordination with achieving regional goals and objectives.  Works closely with the RSM based in Houston and the local Rep Firm sales team to develop and implement regional sales strategies towards improvement of product line penetration, expansion of customer base and product market share.  Appliesa complete knowledge of all the organization’s products/services, and policies to develop and grow CPI market share in the assigned territory.  Uses specialized training within product/service lines to maximize sales efforts.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1.      Sells the organization’s products and services by interacting with targeted customers and developing new prospects.
2.      Maintains a sales program within the territory based on customers’ estimated requirements.
3.      Informs customers of supply and price trends and assists in inventory control.
4.      Keeps informed on new products/services and other general information of interest to customers.
5.      Responsible for securing and renewing orders, working with Customer Service and Technical Support Group, to secure requested delivery dates and engage in all aspects involved with selling.
6.      Calls on existing or potential customers.
7.      Keeps records and makes reports on all phases of activities.
8.      Participates in national and regional trade shows.
9.      Makes organization’s services available to customers.
10. Establishes public relations posture with all accounts and potential customers.  Maintains effective working relationships.

Technical Competencies:
·         BA/BS degree in business/technical field.
·         Minimum of ten (10) years of field sales experience in Voice/Data industry with excellent track record.
·         Knowledge of LAN/WAN physical architecture, customer base and distribution.
·         Must be a highly motivated self starter and team player able to produce consistent sales growth.
·         Strong interpersonal, analytical, organizational, planning, written and verbal skills required.
·         Working knowledge of the following computer software: Excel, Word, ACT, and E-mail savvy desired
·          Domestic travel required both by automobile and airplane approximately 50% travel.
