General Summary  
This position can be located in either NY City, NY or Wyomissing, PA.

Under the leadership of VP of Global Food Safety and Quality, incumbent is responsible for providing Regulatory and related guidance to the Regional Regulatory Managers. Guidance is provided, but not limited to, in the areas of labeling, Regulatory compliance (ingredients and packaging materials) and import/export product registrations, health certificates, and interpretation of regulations. This position is also responsible for monitoring trends and movements in new and pending regulations.

Job Specifications
Minimum education required: BS Food Science or related discipline
Education desired: Masters a plus
Years of relevant experience: 10-15 (experience must include Regulatory, Labeling, or other compliance focused work, food industry required)
Knowledge, skills and abilities required:
* Extensive knowledge of Federal FD&C Act; Code of Federal Regulations; FDA
* Knowledge of International Food Regulations and/or Government agencies
* Good computer skills (Microsoft Office programs)
* Strong motivation and initiative-taking skills; ability to think strategically; strong risk analysis skills
Principal Accountabilities
1. Be a technical resource and guidance for the Regional Regulatory team members, and other functions as appropriate.
2. Be a technical support to the Regional Quality Directors (NA, Europe, and Japan) and Pac Rim Quality Manager.
3. Support and provide technical guidance to the Regional Quality Directors and Quality Manager for their decision making in Regulatory area.
4. Support and provide technical guidance to the VP of Global Food Safety and Quality for questions and/or special projects as it relates to Regulatory topics.
5. The Global Sr. Manager will not be making regional Regulatory decisions, but as in #3, provide technical input so that the regions can make decisions based on inputs provided.
6. Provide technical guidance for product registration for product export/entries to various countries.
7. Be a liaison for Godiva with government officials, regulatory authorities, etc... to provide guidance back to the global Regulatory team and/or Regional Quality Directors/Manager to help in product registration.
8. Provide and conduct training as needed, for Regulatory topics to Regulatory teams and other functions as appropriate.
9. Provide technical tools to the regions to aid in calculations for Ingredient label statement and nutritional facts, locate on the global SharePoint.
10. Be the technical resource in sharing with the Regional Regulatory team members all aspects that entail product compliance review, as it pertains to Regulatory. As examples only, labeling, additives, colorants, etc... ..
11. Provide proper templates (such as technical sheets) for the region so that calculations for ingredient breakdown are being performed correctly by the Regional Regulatory team members.
12. Monitor movements in proposed regulations, industry trends, scientific matters, as it applies to confectionery and foods. This can be via attending conferences, reading up on draft proposals, industry trends, etc... .
13. Represent Godiva in various industry association meetings.
14. Inform the Global Quality Directors, Pac Rim Quality Manager and VP of Global Food Safety and Quality on trends that will impact Godiva.
15. Inform the appropriate Regional Quality Director or Quality Manager and VP of Global Food Safety and Quality, as appropriate, when noncompliance situation exists as it relates to Regulatory.
16. Develop and propose global Regulatory policies and issuance of the policies after alignment has been received from the Regional Quality Directors/Manager.
17. As it pertains to Godiva's role, develop the Regulatory module for the PLM.
