Senior Manager, Federal Financial Practice
Job Position:  Senior Manager – Federal Financial Practice
Position reports to Director Federal/State Government Finance Practice
Location:  Washington, DC 
Travel: 20-30%
 
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Establish peer relationships with key Federal agencies at the Director/Project manager level to position Cognizant’s Banking and Financial Services (BFS) vertical for long-term strategic partnerships.

  2. Support all key business development parameters – value discovery and statement, technical value proposition presentation, relationship building, contract negotiations and compliance.

  3. Leverage and develop mindshare in a matrix organization with industry vertical and delivery organization to support composite business development campaign

  4. Build and establish new business relationships with priority Federal financial agencies, becoming a strategic vendor providing agency-wide IT services.

  5. Work in partnership with BFS delivery teams to coordinate strategic market development activities from RFI thru contract negotiations/execution for the State finance agencies  IT market segment
Experience: 
  1. At least 5-7 years of direct experience selling to and/or Project management role in providing IT services to major federal and/or State financial agencies (such as AAFES, IRS, State Tax and Revenue management). 

  2. Demonstrable subject matter expertise/understanding in Federal IT Operations and Outsourcing.

  3. Proven track record delivering business solutions to large Federal and/or State Finance related agencies.

  4. Hands-on experience in developing and managing IT-enabled business solutions...

  5. Demonstrated experience generating IT services revenue of $ 5-8M annually.

  6. Direct experience with a Global service delivery model
