A midtown based CPA Firm is in search of a Tax Preparer for the upcoming tax season.
Position Overview:
The Tax Preparer role is temporary (possibly part-time hours) from January 1st through April 15th.

Responsibilities:
- The Tax Preparer will be responsible for preparing simple to complex tax returns for individuals or small businesses
- Review financial records to determine forms needed to prepare tax returns
- Data Entry of files and returns
- The Tax Preparer will assist with additional projects as needed
- Review prior tax returns, income statements and expenditures

Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of prior tax preparation experience
- Must be detail oriented and have strong communication skills
- Prior experience with ProSeries tax software not required but a plus
- Past experience processing individual, corporate and partnership tax returns
- Proficient with Excel and Outlook
- Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
