Overview & Responsibilities The Cloud Sites Team at Rackspace seeks a front-end web developer with a sharp visual design aesthetic, a passion for web technologies, and a strong sense of user-centered development & design. This individual would oversee and participate in the Front-end application development, user experience, and interaction design. We are looking for someone with a clear passion for learning, who is capable of strategic development & design thought in a fast-paced environment. Their strong sense of responsibility drives them to seek awesome technical solutions and clearly communicate tradeoffs with stakeholders. Responsibilities include: Translating functional development requirements into conceptual and detailed designs; Providing estimates for development effort; Implementing proof of concept, prototypes and production-grade software; creating unit and acceptance tests; coordinating sign-off from QA/Test; automating deployment; And assisting Engineering, Operations, Dev, and Support staff in trouble-shooting software issues as well as implementing bug fixes. Responsibilities: - front end development with ability to plan, coordinate, gather requirements and control quality of SW developed/ - Provide estimates for development effort. - Implement proof-of-concept, prototypes and production-grade software. - Create unit and acceptance tests, test-driven development - Perform production deployments. - Assist Engineering, Operations, Dev, and Support staff in troubleshooting issues, implementing bug fix and deploying platform hotfixes/upgrades. - Excellent communication skills to report program status/metrics etc - Adheres to established coding and process best practices - Ability to develop, adopt, and share quality improvement strategy
JOB REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate will have the following:
