The company:
Our client is a subsidiary for a leading European manufacturer of technical textiles using coating and lamination technology. Its sales teams operate in 5 continents with local representation in France, Asia, North & South America.
Today, the company is a worldwide specialist in technical fabrics for applications requiring release coatings and heat and flame protection. The company has a production facility near Lyon, France, where it produces coated fabrics in polyurethanes and silicones.
The position:
Our client is currently seeking a Territory Sales Manager to pursue the development of its business in the North American market. The candidate will strive to improve the company’s position in the release liner market for tires, rubber industry, Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) for the steel industry and the machine protection market. Presently, the company has a worldwide network of customers and has experienced rapid growth over the last few years. The client is seeking a dynamic sales manager to reinforce its international growth.
The position requires frequent travel (50%) within the US, Canada, as well as occasionally to France.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Requirements of the position:
- Specialist in rubber industry, emphasis in tire industry preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in business
- 5 years of proven sales experience
- Fluent in English. Spanish is not required, but beneficial
- Experience in a related industry (i.e. industrial applications, manufacturing in tire)
- Effective negotiation and ability to manage the entire sales process
- Must be responsible and work autonomously with the ability to multi-task
- Excellent communication skills
- Possess excellent organizational and time management skills
- Must be eligible to work in the US
- Comfortable with a direct supervisor based outside of the US
- Preferably located in the Southeast. Proximal location to major airport is a must
