What You Will Be Doing

- Continue the design, development and maintenance of an existing Ruby on Rails applications.
- Work with team members to design new systems.
- Work with partners to implement, modify and troubleshoot custom solutions.
- Document code and system design.
- Keep abreast of latest technologies and trends.

What You Need for this Position

- 2+ years of experience as a software engineer/developer using Ruby on Rails, Javascript, SQL
- Working knowledge of Ruby language and Rails framework
- Experience with performance and scalability
- Understanding of object-oriented design, design patterns and how they apply to Ruby
- Understanding of Ruby meta-programming and able to articulate where it’s appropriate
- Solid understanding of SQL and data modeling for scalability and performance
- Strong XHTML/CSS/JavaScript and MVC framework experience
- Experience with agile, iterative, and test-driven development methods
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Able to clearly articulate design ideas, while being receptive to constructive criticism
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
