Network Operations & Security Center (NOSC) Local Area Network (LAN), Base Area Network (BAN), Wide Area Network (WAN), and Remote Access Services (RAS) Solution Architect. Requires Ten plus (10+) years of experience in telecommunications and/or data communications. Provides advanced technical expertise for LAN/BAN/WAN network performance and configuration. Supervises and evaluates LAN/BAN/WAN administration; leads technical integration and testing efforts on complex large-scale integrated networks. Plans, engineers, schedules, and supervises execution of network hardware and software installations and upgrades. Supervises NOSC staff and network system operations and maintenance. Coordinates with customer leadership, user representatives, and remote sites. Requires thorough knowledge of Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) Layers 2 through 4, and of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) incident, problem, change, and availability management. Leads team support of transport service delivery and continuous improvement processes. Develops recommendations for improving the network infrastructure. Requires advanced skills in network systems hardware and software evaluation, LAN/BAN/WAN troubleshooting, network problem management, customer service and stakeholder communications.
