Performs formal system testing activities for a particular project. Performs analysis of documented user requirements and directs or assists in the design of test plans in support of user requirements for moderately complex to complex software/hardware applications. Reviews user application system requirements documentation; designs, defines and documents unit and application test plans; transforms test plans into test scripts and executes those scripts. May participate in all phases of risk management assessment and software/hardware development under the direction of a Senior Test Engineer. Responsible for ensuring proper execution of test scripts and documentation of test results in test logs or defect tracking systems. Responsible for ensuring that the test designs and documentation support all applicable client, agency or industry standards, time lines and budgets. Responsible for the development of test data to be used in performing the required tests. Responsible that testing conclusions and recommendations are fully supported by test results, and those project managers are fully informed or testing status and application deviations from documented user requirements. Responsible for/or assists in the analysis of test results, documents conclusions and makes recommendations as supported by such analysis..

Requires at least 5-8 years of systems integration test experience in support of Data Center design, installation, testing, operation and maintenance. Candidate must have documented experience with Windows Server, Active Directory (AD), Linux- and/or Solaris-based systems, virtual technologies such as VMWare, storage solutions such as NetApp, and thin client solutions such as Citrix. Candidate must also have documented experience with IT security systems such as firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and virtual private network (VPN); and DoD information assurance requirements and processes to include Vulnerability Management System (VMS), Host Based Security System (HBSS), e-Eye Retina Secure Configuration Compliance Validation Initiative (SCCVI) scanning and remediation, Information Assurance Vulnerability Assessment (IAVA) compliance, and DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP). Requires understanding and working knowledge of Microsoft Back Office, Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), Windows Server Update Services (WSUS), Microsoft system-level interfaces, enterprise level AD implementation, Group Policy management, Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP), Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP), File Transfer Protocol (FTP), Hyper-Text Transfer Protocol (HTTP). Requires bachelors degree in IT or equivalent technical training and education in systems integration and testing. Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) or Solutions Master (MCSM) is required. Must be able to obtain DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program certification, such as CompTIA Security+, within six months from date of employment.

Required Clearance: Top Secret, eligible for SCI
