Job Description:

My client is currently searching for a Senior Project Engineer to join their successful engineering group. This candidate will have experience with feasibility studies, field engineering, design, as well as construction management. Responsibility for several projects with costs estimated to be several million dollars will be common. All clients are local to the area so travel, when necessary, will not be more than a few hours.

Responsibilities:

• The Senior Project Engineer will be responsible for directing staff and occasionally performing field work which may include site investigation and construction monitoring.
• Assist in business development, prepare proposals, and interact professionally with clients
• Management of the construction process and preparing necessary contract documents
• The Senior Project Engineer will design and perform analysis of tunnel excavation stabilization works as well as portal structures and other structural elements of tunnels

Requirements:

• Completed 4 year degree in Civil Engineering or related field, Masters preferred.
• Must have 5-10 yeras of experience in project management, underground or tunnel design, or consrtuction management
• Must have excellent team leadership skills and abilities.
• Must be able to work independently and in a group
• Will have the ability to train and mentor junior staff members
• The Senior Project Engineer will possess a completed 4 year degree in Civil / Structural / Geological discipline, a Master’s Degree is preferred.
• PE in California or the ability to get one in a short amount of time.
