Based in Bellevue, WA, we are a booming Web Media Platform company that is disrupting the market. Our products are based on a patented media search platform that leverages speech, text and image analysis to deeply understand the content and context of streaming videos.
We are looking for a hands-on IT Cloud Architect/Consultant to establish a best-practices approach to building and maintaining new and existing Cloud infrastructures. You will use your proven track-record to set the standards for building, deploying, managing, and monitoring fault-tolerant, 24/7, web-scale applications.

What You Will Be Doing
- Analyze the company’s existing Cloud deployments/topologies and recommend changes based on your experience and industry best-practices.
- Create blueprints for future Cloud topologies (AWS services and interfaces) that minimize costs while maximizing performance, reliability, and manageability.
- Recommend tools/approaches for manageability, zero downtime, scalability, repeatability, automation.
- Work with the existing operations team to implement all recommended changes.
- Train staff in the new standards and processes.
- Create blueprints for future Cloud topologies (AWS services and interfaces) that minimize costs while maximizing performance, reliability, and manageability.
- Recommend tools/approaches for manageability, zero downtime, scalability, repeatability, automation.
- Work with the existing operations team to implement all recommended changes.
- Train staff in the new standards and processes.
What You Need for this Position
- B.S. Degree in Computer Science, M.I.S. or related discipline
- 7+ years' experience in large-scale, multi-platform networks
- 4+ years’ experience architecting and implementing systems using Amazon AWS services (e.g., EC2/S3/CloudFormation/IAM)
- Expert knowledge of Linux and/or Windows
- Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, Perl and/or Ruby)
- Deployment and monitoring tools experience
- Load balancing and scalability techniques
- Experience designing, installing, and administrating virtualized environments
- Thorough knowledge of cloud based architectures and scalable distributed systems
- Domain knowledge in fault-tolerant, highly-available systems
