Hughes is looking for a Technical Project Manager to join their Service Delivery Group team with focus on CRM in Germantown, MD
Job Responsibilities:
1. Plans and coordinates all aspects of internal CRM system-specific projects from initiation to delivery.
2. Collaborate across IT functions, including applications development, technology and operation
3.Control and report upon development team project statuses to manager. Report output plan including metrics, timing and issues to manager.
4. Assists in design definition and tests systems, and/or system changes to insure system efficiency, integrity, productivity and maintainability.
5. Interact with business representatives with a goal of establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with respect to application performance, future enhancements, business and system processes, and accountability
6. Recognizes and analyzes problems of average complexity. Independently considers a variety of alternatives to arrive at a timely, practical solution.
7. Completes multiple tasks in the time allocated to accomplish results by coordinating with other organizational units and resources.
8. Analyzes business trends, when appropriate, to enable the company to operate in a cost effective manner
9.Exceptional communication skills and embrace significant challenges and opportunities with enthusiasm and confidence
10. Ability to influence and negotiate with co-workers that do not report directly to them
11. Incorporate effective change and risk management controls
1. MS Project 2007 or 2010 and MS Project Server 2007 or 2010
2. Collaborative, results-oriented and proven leader in the IT arena with solid IT management experience and breadth of experience across IT functions.
3. Knowledge and expertise in project management, program management methodologies and tools
4. Strong oral and written communication skills
5. Ability to concisely report technical information to all levels of executive management
6. Must have knowledge of KPI's and capabilities provided by reporting systems
7. Incorporate effective change and risk management controls
8. Technology experience - Experience with Java, J2EE applications, some exposure in managing mobile projects. PeopleSoft CRM experience preferred but not required
