POSITION INFORMATION SUMMARY

JOB SUMMARY:Supply Chain Manager

The Supply Chain Managerdirects the process which includes the planning of procurement, production, and inventory control. The manager ensures that every step of the process is functioning effectively to avoid costly delays and lost sales opportunities. The supply chain manager's first and most important requirement is planning. This position reports directly to the Director of Materials and Planning.

Primary Duties and Accountabilities

·          Review demand forecasts and establish build plans to ensure products are available in order to meet business goals, while maintaining appropriate inventory levels.
·          Serve as the primary liaison with manufacturing partners. Manage vendor relationships and develop plans and policies to ensure best in class service and performance.
·          Negotiate pricing on product and non-product purchases and establish aggressive quarterly and annual cost reductions.
·          Work closely with cross-functional groups to establish and implement efficient supply/demand practices.
·          Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, reports, and material control systems to ensure accurate inventory, cost and variance data.
·          Establish measurement tools to track and compare financial goals to supply and demand commitments.
·          Establish inventory strategies, product availability and capacity requirements and make recommendations for implementation to management.
·          Negotiate and resolve conflicting business objectives and goals and drive strategic decisions to achieve the best overall results.


Education Level

·          Bachelor’s degree in Operations or Supply Chain Management, MBA or equivalent relevant experience.
·          APICS certification a plus


Experience Required

·          Minimum of 10 years in supply chain related roles that include demonstrated proficiency in procurement, planning and inventory management.
·          Detailed experience with bills of material, serialized inventory, SKU and inventory assembly management.
·          Excellent computer skills, including Word and Excel in a Microsoft Windows environment
·          Experience managing data, processes and reporting using corporate ERP systems, committing deliveries to customers, sharing forecast commits to suppliers, and holding financial accountability for these decisions and responsibilities.
·          JDE experience a plus


Personal Attributes Required

·          Effective oral and written communication skills
·          Ability to speak fluent Spanish preferred.
·          Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages and volume.
·          Excellent interpersonal skills
·          Must be able to adhere to a set schedule
·          Skills in database management and record keeping
·          Excellent organizational skills
·          Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with RSI PCS personnel


Physical Demands

·          While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
·          While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
