SUMMARY:
This position is primarily responsible for applying principles of accounting to analyze financial information, prepare financial reports and process various types of accounting transactions by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Assist Controller in month end closing Financial Statement preparation.
· Responsible for AR collections. Calling on customers, and maintaining AR in a current state.
· Responsible for metric analysis, ratio analysis and monthly financial reports.
· Maintains effective communication between sales, finance, manufacturing operations and other departments.
· Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions.
· Distributes expenditures, receipts, and receivables according to schedules.
· Analyzes financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital as requested by Controller. Reviews balance sheet and P&L accounts during close, and other reports to summarize and interpret current financial position for other managers and departments.
· Knowledge in cost accounting.
· Audits contracts, orders, and vouchers, and prepares reports to substantiate individual transactions prior to settlement.
· Determines proper handling of financial transactions and approves transactions within designated limits.
· Monitors compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures.
· Investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports in conjunction with Controller.
· Installs, modifies, documents, and coordinates maintenance of Money Works accounting systems and accounting control procedures.
· Processes and monitors inventory transactions and assists manufacturing in the receiving process.
· Responsible for balance sheet reconciliations, accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
· Looks to streamline current accounting processes and submits recommendations for improving the organization's accounting operation to Controller.
· Supports operations, sales and marketing functions as required.
· Performs research for accounting projects as assigned by Controller
REQUIREMENT:

· Minimum of 4-5 years’ experience in accounting.

· Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
