Accountability:  This Position Reports to the Production Manager

Job Description/Duties:                                              

·         Supervises all Order Picking, Packing, and Shipping personnel.

·         Proactively manages Orders Due for Shipment so that all customer orders ship on time.

• Communicate needs for finished goods to the Production Supervisors when required.
• Supervises the timely processing of work orders as listed on the Factory Scheduler for SHIP and OUTSIDE SERVICES resources.
• Personally provides hands-on backup to all Shipping personnel when needed.
• Responds in a timely manner to all requests from Sales involving ‘drop in’ orders.
• Responds in a timely manner to all MRR-CAPA issues as related to the Shipping Dept.

·         Responsible for collecting and reporting data on department performance metrics.

·         Responsible for the development and maintenance of Order Picking/Packing/Shipping best practices.

• Evaluates Shipping processes and develop improvements when necessary.

·         Has lead role in any Shipping projects and departmental troubleshooting.

·         Responsible for the training of new hires and cross-training existing personnel.

·         Assists with special projects as assigned by Production Manager.

• Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Serve as member of Safety Committee.
• Maintain harmony and resolves grievances between departments and workers.
• Evaluate and complete employee performance reviews for all Shipping personnel.

Minimum Requirements:                           

·         MS Office skills (Word, Excel & PowerPoint).

• Must be able to understand complex written and verbal directions and have the communication skills to convey them to employees.
• Must be able to read and analyze documents, technical procedures, work orders, bills of materials and engineering drawings.
• Must be able to write instructions and reports, and present information to groups of people   .
• Must have proficient written and verbal communication skills.
• Must have Forklift Certification.

• General knowledge of workplace safety (Knowledge of OSHA regulations a plus).
• High School Graduate (Technical Certifications a plus).

• Must occasionally be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to tolerate long periods of standing as this is a shop floor position.
