Job: SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

About the Job

Pacific Partners Management Services, Inc. is a full-service MSO providing administrative services to Santa Clara County IPA (SCCIPA) comprised of more than 800 physicians, is the largest multi-specialty individual practice association (IPA) in Santa Clara County and has been providing professional medical services for over 25 years.

We have an immediate opening for a full-time Senior Accountant to perform detailed accounting functions, financial analysis, and provide various general accounting services for the financial operations of the organization.  The candidate is responsible to ensure adequate internal controls exist for all accounting functions, with documented policies and procedures, prepare financial statements in compliance with all federal, state and local laws, as well as coordinate and participate in audits. The candidate must reconcile accounts, prepare budgets, maintain budget to actual reports and support Controller with related accounting duties.  In addition, the Senior Accountant is responsible to supervise the Accountant I responsible for the A/P and A/R functions.

The successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting from a four-year college or university, at least 5 years’ experience in an accounting/finance role, preferably in health care with increasing responsibilities and a demonstrated ability to work with minimal direction. They must have a solid working knowledge of generally accepted accounting practices and principles and understanding of auditing practices and principles, as well as knowledge of accounting best practices, internal controls and standardized processes and procedures. The candidate must have the ability to operate financial software such as Sage 100, Microsoft Excel, MS Office Suite, Adobe, or other programs in an integrated computer environment.  They need to possess excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, utilizing the utmost discretion with sensitive and confidential information.  The ability to research accounting issues, read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations relevant to accurate financial reporting is essential to the role.  The candidate should possess demonstrated supervisory skills monitoring departmental staff and workloads, evaluating and mentoring staff through documented, measurable objectives.
