Job: Motion Graphics Artist/Editor II

Location: Reno, NV

About the Job


This role is responsible for translating ideas and scripts generated by writers to create intros, outros, and graphics packages for use in trailers, promotions, event films, behind-the-scenes features, documentaries, or rich media campaigns. The Motion Graphics Artist/Editor, in concert with the Video Producer/Shooter and Art Direction Manager, will brainstorm and conceive motion-graphic introductions and graphic redesigns. This role must be able to execute broadcast-quality motion-graphic work that incorporates both video and line-art elements. 

 

The ideal candidate should also have experience with driving video content forward in post-production, and be held responsible for editing a variety of multimedia projects, selecting and editing music, and creating motion graphics.

Essential Responsibilities: 

 

·         Conceiving and executing all intros and outros for videos

·         Maintaining and updating when necessary the broadcast graphics package used in the videos 

·         Creating ambient motion graphics for screens within videos 

·         Keeping current with industry-standard software and techniques 

·         Production tasks such as camera operation/videography

·         Editing videos as assigned 

 

Additional Responsibilities: 

 

·         Lighting experience a plus

·         Experience in casting and booking talent

·         Fundamental understanding of sound design

 

Required Skills:

·         BA in Motion Design, Graphic Design, Film and Television or equivalent experience.

·         A minimum of 3+ years of motion design experience in broadcast design.

·         Fluency with, Adobe After Effects CS6, Premier CS6, Photoshop CS6 and Illustrator CS6. Experience with 3D Studio Max, Cinema 4D, Final Cut Pro and Avid.

·         Strong design sense and the ability to create motion graphics from concept to completion 

·         Intuitive ability to turn verbal and written ideas into visual creations 

·         Understanding of broadcast standards 

·         Managing deadlines and executing on-time and on-task.

·         Strong self-starter and capable of working independently.

·         Ability to work within a team environment.
