Amnis Corporation (now a part of EMD Millipore), located in downtown Seattle, WA, develops and markets high speed cell imaging devices for basic and clinical research, which uniquely combine the strengths of flow cytometry and fluorescence microscopy in a single platform.
POSITION MISSION:
Looking for a motivated individual who enjoys the challenge of working with sophisticated high-speed cell analysis instrumentation, significant contact with customers and willing to travel both domestically and internationally. This position requires a significant amount of travel and we are looking for candidates located on the West Coast.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- This position requires a high level of proficiency with complex opto/electro/mechanical and fluidic systems.
- Must be well versed in operating, trouble-shooting and rectifying problems with complex instrumentation.
- Experience with Flow Cytometry, biological samples, processing systems, reagents and protocols are desirable.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision in the field or office.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor at all times are essential.
- Must be well versed in translating and communicating customer needs to all facets of the Amnis organization including Research and Development, Applications Development, Production and Sales.
A successful candidate will have a minimum of an Associate’s degree in Electronics/Mechanical Engineering or Field Service experience of 2 plus years.
