We are seeking Mid-level Environmental Geologists, Engineers, or Scientists to provide support on various environmental projects in South and Southeast Texas. The primary focus of these positions is in support of Oil & Gas (O&G) projects – in the upstream (E&P) and midstream (pipelines, facilities and terminals) sectors.
Responsibilities include due diligence support, hazardous site assessment, permitting and regulatory compliance, and engineering support of remediation projects. Field investigations and report preparation will be required. Candidate will also interface directly with clients, assist in marketing and proposal writing and work on individual projects. Essential duties and responsibilities will also include: Conduct field work and reporting for Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessments; Development of various types of compliance plans (SWPP, SPCC, etc.); Develop work plans and proposals for additional assessments; Collect various types of samples (soil, water, chemicals, etc.) and provide data interpretation and remedial action recommendations;; and Serve as client interface in support of environmental service offerings provided by others (air quality, ecological/biological, geotechnical, civil site engineering, EMS, H&S, regulatory affairs, etc.).
B.S. in Engineering, Geoscience or Environmental Science degree required. M.S. degree preferred. 40-hour OSHA – HAZMAT, H2S, Safeland and BOP training preferred. Three to five (3-5) plus years’ experience in environmental consulting or related experience preferred. Experience in environmental due diligence (Phase I /II ESA) and risk-based evaluations is preferred. Knowledge of Texas Railroad Commission (RRC) and Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) regulations; Knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations (TX) preferred. Experience with remedial designs, feasibility studies, hazardous waste, site investigations, site remediation, field sampling, air quality, water resources, and contractor oversight is desirable. Previous experience with project management, marketing, proposal writing and client meetings is helpful. Candidate must be highly motivated, customer focused, and work well in a team environment. Candidate must also have the ability to manage a heavy workload, travel and be on-call as needed. Excellent written and verbal communication, client interaction and organizational skills, as well as proficiency with MS Office applications required. Computer Skills must include Microsoft Windows Word and Excel. Applicants should be English speaking and possess excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently.
