About the Job
DOE Portsmouth & Paducah are getting ready to undertake a plant modification for the liquid hydrogen tanks at both the Paducah and Portsmouth plants and need engineering support. The engineer will work with the system and nuclear safety engineers at each location. The work will start as soon as possible and will take 2-3 weeks. The engineer can be located anywhere, but he/she will have to travel briefly to each location. They are looking for a mechanical/structural/civil engineer - “plant modification,” “tank,” “DOE” and “nuclear process system” experience.
We can pay a casual civil, structural, nuclear, or mechanical engineer $45-50.33/hr. ST and OT. No per diem, no mob/demob. Costs associated with travel for a site walk at either or both locations would be reimbursed.
