The Cloud Service Engineer will have a role that enables us to achieve direct internal experience with technology, and then transfer it to customer-facing reference architectures and proof of concept projects. This position will support Solutions Validation Center (SVC) activities and new service offer design with the marketing team.

- Manage SVC activities and new offer service activities
- Enhancement of SVC, adding new feature & functionality and automate test process
- Developing
enterprise network solutions for customers

o Server virtualization, SaaS, PaaS, IaaS
o Network and SAN Storage systems
o Converged network solution
o LAN and WAN optimization solution based on Regional WAN HUB concept
o Application HUB built around Equinix CLOUD exchange
o Enterprise network switching and routing optimization
o IPv6 enterprise network
o Green enterprise network solution
- Conduct SVC (POC/proof of concept) testing with customers to demonstrate new
enterprise network solutions
o Leveraging 3 distributed SVC labs
o Service provider and network equipment evaluation and selection
o Good customer communication, documentation and execution skills
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- 10+ years of experience building and administering enterprise networks and systems
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of Enterprise Architecture concepts and implementations with 10+ years of experience
- Current knowledge of the leading technologies for networking and storage, data center operations and virtualization; server operations and administration, and IT security
- Solid understanding and have an low level programing skill, HTML, Perl, Java, TCL/Expect, SQL, MySQL
- Ability and enthusiasm for drafting architectures associated with a variety of enterprise architectures including Service Oriented Architecture, Cloud Computing (private, hybrid, and public), Unified Communications
- Solid understanding of the basics of Cloud Computing architectures and the resulting facilitation of services
- Experience with multiple electronic services (e.g., various formats and vendors of email, distributed file management and transfer protocols, storage including virtual machine architectures)
- Solid understanding of networks and data center components including, but not limited to, routers, switches, WAN optimization, Storage Area Networks (SAN), Network Attached Storage (NAS), Systems Management Tools, Virtualization, Blade-frame architectures, backup systems
- Familiarity with planning and executing datacenter consolidations, relocations, and migrations
- Ability to provide technical solutions for infrastructure discovery and assessments
- In-depth knowledge of implementation methods and best practices for infrastructure operations
- Familiarity with Server Platform Technologies (Unix/Linux/Wintel/MVS - HP/Sun/IBM etc.)
- Familiarity with Storage Platform Technologies (SAN/NAS) including Hardware & Software (EMC/NetApp/Sun/IBM/HP/VMware/Citrix/Brocade/Juniper)
- Familiarity with Datacenter/Server Operational requirements (Monitoring, Management, etc.)
- Knowledge and experience using TCP/IP protocols, including both IPv4 and IPv6.
- Knowledge and experience with current server load-balancing technologies.
- Must be a strong team player with the ability to collaborate with all levels of staff
