*IC Package Development and Process Engineer
Colorado Springs, Colorado
Job Description:
Support/Lead process and package development efforts for semiconductor related projects. Responsibilities range from packaging and assembly process concept definition, package design, materials selection, evaluation, reliability evaluation and transfer to manufacturing. Candidate must be highly motivated, creative, detail oriented and schedule driven. Good communication and documentation skills are required. Candidate will perform hands-on process development using existing equipment and will identify and recommend new equipment needed. Must have strong project management skills.
Education and Specialized Training Required:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Material Science from a four year college or university.Candidate should have related experience in semiconductor assembly, packaging design and process development.
Candidate should have strong CAD and solid modeling skills (Solidworks or similar software) and be extremely competent with the use of Microsoft Office products. Familiarity with Mil-std-883 testing procedures and contract assembly vendor management is preferred.
