MWH Constructors is the construction arm of MWH and is a licensed, bonded general contractor, performing all of the Company’s at-risk construction and design-build projects, with a strong focus on wet infrastructure.

MWH provides construction management-at-risk, construction management-as-agent, design-build and general contracting services for water and wastewater facilities, government buildings, industrial facilities, environmental remediation, produced water and other projects that fall within our core competencies. Beginning with pre-construction services, we provide individually tailored “start to finish” construction capabilities to municipal, federal and industrial clients throughout the United States and the United Kingdom, including commissioning and start up services with licensed operators.

We are presently seeking qualified candidates for Electrical Estimator based out of our Broomfield, Colorado office.

Specific responsibilities of this position include the following:

Prepares cost estimates on proposals, projects and studies and ensure that the content of the estimate is complete, accurate and meets the requirements of the Estimating Manager. Plan, coordinate, review, verify and analyze all aspects of estimates and estimate presentation. Helps in the maintenance of the Company estimating database. Coordinate and review the variable estimating factors in each area with Engineering, Procurement and Construction. Provides technical advice and assistance to the Estimating Manager in the preparation of all levels of electrical estimates ranging in scope and complexity. Appraises overall accuracy of electrical estimates and recommends contingencies for electrical estimates. Assists the Estimating Manager with an independent assessment of an estimate’s accuracy (upon completion of the estimate and summarization of all detailed man-hours, material, construction and home office costs).

Capable of preparing of CMAR, CMS, Design-Build or Hard-Dollar estimates. Able to develop scopes and estimate with less than 25% design completed.

Coordinates the performance of the electrical pricing structure development and application to takeoffs, derived quantities, quantity assumption, and cost allowances. Obtains and verifies construction quotations for facilitation of construction projects, addenda’s and contract changes. Obtains and verifies subcontractor questions for construction projects and ensures compliance with construction documents. Responsible for overseeing the development of craft labor rates for union or non-union jobs. Assist Lead Estimator in developing the Basis of Estimate.

Assist Project Manager in developing means and methods for constructing projects. Could be called on to utilize experience and knowledge to plan and assist in pursuits of new work within all MWH division groups across the United States and internationally.

Compile and analyze bids. Must be able to understand and help develop Work Breakdown Structure Codes, Cost and Resource Loading. Develop reports for all review processes. Provides constructability reviews and guidance to the operations team to ensure the preliminary costs of the projects.

Organization, attention to detail, ability to work within tight time constraints and under pressure; and ability to work within a proposal team are all important for proper performance of required duties.


JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum of 5 years of estimating experience is required
• Heavy Industrial/Industrial experience is required
• Field experience is required
• Solid knowledge or experience in - Primary & Secondary Voltage Systems/ FA, Telecom, Data / Duct Banks & Underground Electrical Systems /Substations / Power Transmission / Utility/ and Building Electrical Systems/Instrumentation and Controls/SCADA
• Must be proficient in using MS Word, and Excel
