Job: Windows Engineer


JOB DESCRIPTION

Our client develops custom solutions and manages the installation, configuration, and upgrades on servers and related hardware and software in both small environments with a handful of servers to full-blown enterprise data centers with hundreds of servers, clustering, and high availability demands. They are hiring engineering talent with experience building and maintaining enterprise Microsoft server and related infrastructures and other technologies such as VMWare, Cisco VOIP, VPN, and Meraki  Cloud switch management). You will provide investigation, diagnostic testing and repair/resolution of system, hardware, software and infrastructure. You will also build and maintain a cloud hosting platform for 3rd party deployment to enterprise users.  This role includes:
  • Configure, install, and support Microsoft Windows environments to the specifications of client proposals.
  • Manage Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange, Messaging, DHCP, DNS, WINS, and SCCM servers
  • Provide network support, including installation of network hardware, software, systems documentation, and training.
  • Supervise and administer systems and server related network appliances to ensure availability of services to authorized users.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve computer and telephony related issues via both on-site and remote support.
  • Maintain 3rd party applications.
  • Manage assigned projects and program components to deliver services in accordance with established objectives.
  • Respond to inquiries from staff, administrators, service providers, site personnel and outside vendors.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

This role requires someone well-versed in building and managing the MS platform and a track record of successful client facing engagements for multi-site, multi-tenent clients. It will require a deep level of knowledge in a specific aspect of Windows (Server, SharePoint, Exchange, Active Directory, etc…) and a broad base of expertise in related network & virtual systems. This is a job that involves quite a bit of user interaction so you must be an active problem solver who can engage effectively with both technical and non-technical customers.

It is important for their customers and partnerships that you train, study, and achieve as you grow with the company. One of the ways this is demonstrated would be through Microsoft and other certifications such as:

MCSA / MCSE / MCTS
CCNA
CompTIA Network+

Current certifications are not absolutely requirement, but we expect you to have a desire to continue your education through the certification process.
