JOB DESCRIPTION
The Web developer will use good software development practices to design and implement solutions for our software application with the goal of providing the best possible user experience by performing the following duties
Participate in the design and development of a platform for building powerful web applications.
Participate in the design and development of a platform for building powerful web applications.
- Assist in writing functional specification documents.
- Work with project teams to design and develop Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) software for Core Informatics clients.
- Perform maintenance and provide support to software deployed in a production environment.
- Communicate well in person and over email
- Additional responsibilities as deemed necessary by supervisor.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Required
Preferred:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working in software development.
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the Web: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, as well as other web languages and paradigms.
- Demonstrated experience developing JavaScript applications.
- Extensive experience with modern JavaScript development and frameworks.
- ExtJS experience a big plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and professional demeanor.
- A Computer Science degree or similar
- Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred:
- Experience with Apache Tomcat, Java, JSP, SVN, SQL, Eclipse IDE
