About the Job
Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital, a state-of-the-art central hospital and referral center, is in need of Registered Veterinary Technicians to work within our high volume Intensive Care Unit.
Primary responsibilities would include, but is not limited to:

- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with doctors, staff and clients regarding patient status is essential
- Administration of oral and parenteral medication
- Animal Restraint
- Blood cross matching/typing
- Blood pressure assessment
- Blood transfusions
- Calculation and administration of CRI
- Assisting with continuous oxygen
- ECG
- IV Catheter placement
- Pain assessment
- Ability to perform CPR
- Placement, care and maintenance of urinary catheters
- Proper collection and performance of in-house clotting tests
- Ability to recognize signs of shock
- Recumbent patient
- Respiratory patients
- Tracheotomey tube care and management
- Vital sign assessment
Candidates must be a licensed RVT in the State of Ohio with a proven ability to function in a fast paced environment.
