Operations & Maintenance Coordinator/ Network Engineer
Job Description
This position will be responsible for managing the external customer network infrastructure. It will include the participation in the daily upkeep and administration of the company?s network infrastructure and computer systems. This position will also be responsible for the coordination and implementation of O&M projects and tasks.
Core Responsibilities
• Manage external customer network infrastructure
o Responsible for the Operations and Maintenance (O&M)
Network related to network engineering
o Network Engineering liaison to the Multi-Service Center (MSC)
§ MSC?s first point of escalation for O&M issues
§ Grow MSC technicians capabilities
o Management of tickets assigned to the engineering group
§ Follow up and closure of existing tickets assigned to engineering team members.
o Responsible for the coordination and implementation of O&M projects and tasks
o Proactive Network Performance and Capacity Management
§ Resource utilization
§ Link error management
§ Backbone circuit capacity
§ Line card capacity
§ Continuous improvement of the network management systems (best practices)
o Quality assurance and completeness of network documentation (configs, diagrams, facilities access procedures and etc?)
o Management of O&M related processes (DMR, Peer Review, RCA, RMA, Change Control etc?)
o Vendor Case Management
§ Network POC and owner for technical cases
o Ensure that internal documentation is created and updated regarding issues, lessons learned, and technical topics
o Provide on call support.
• Engineering & Architecture Project support
o Provide engineering and architecture support to projects.
o Provide business development support in responding to RFPs.
• Internal Task Management and Support
o Skyline Corporate Development
• Maintain/Achieve Technical Industry Certifications
Requirements
Education/Training
• BS in Computer Science, IT or related field or equivalent
• CCNA/JNCIA Required
• CCNP or JNCIS or higher preferred
Experience
• IT operations Background
o NOC, Maintenance & Support, Networking, Server, Hosting etc
• Must have experience with network analysis/management tools and techniques
• Strong understanding of troubleshooting methodology

• Ability to create and work with a collaborative, result oriented team environment
• Solid understanding of the Information Technology industry, especially Systems Admin and Networking
• Ability to prioritize, plan and schedule multiple workflows for self and others
