multimedia intern
and is seeking a
dynamic person to
shoot video, produce
webcasts and create
other digital content
for Kern County's
dominant websites.
Our last video intern
went on to fame and
fortune by creating
"The Annoying
Orange " comedy
series that blew up
on YouTube and The
Cartoon Network.
We can't guarantee
you'll be a star Like
Dane... but we're on
a roll.
Were looking for someone who enjoys the thrill of chasing breaking news, creating self-contained video stories, and helping to produce webcasts and other digital content. Were launching several new online products this fall and need talented people who want to share the thrill of creating something long-lasting from the ground up.
Applicants should: - Have strong writing-for-video skills. - Be willing to have fun. - Be able to appear on camera and do stand-up reports in the field. - Want to see their work on YouTube and Kern County's most popular local websites. - Have experience with non-linear editing software, including Final Cut Pro X, Adobe Premiere and Avid. - Understand the importance of live video production and equipment. - Be willing to discover something new every day. - Be comfortable executing multiple assignments and hitting tight deadlines.
This position is full time, requires some night and weekend work, driving and regular lifting of camera gear.
