Award winning Ducati & Triumph Motorcycle Lifestyle Store in Manhattan is building an elite team of experts, driven to share the passion and excitement of motorcycling.
We are seeking a self-driven, results-oriented Lead Apparel Stylist/Selling Specialist with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on the highest of customer service standards.
Ideal Candidate should have:
- Prior management experience (preferred); extensive experience in retail apparel/clothing sales
- Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate sales associates
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn new systems
- Passion for motorcycles, merchandise and other products sold by dealership
- Ability to work a flexible, full time schedule including Saturdays, some evenings, and special events
- Track record of sales performance and building strong customer relationships
Key Results Areas:
- Exceed selling objectives
- Manage merchandise presentation on the sales floor
- Ability to lead front line salespeople
- Plan, implement, and regulate department promotions
- Effectively utilize computer systems to control inventory and report daily activities
- Communicate and plan with Apparel Manager to arrive at daily/monthly/yearly sales goals
- Increase Sales and Gross Profit for the Department
- Provide exceptional customer service/CSI
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Outstanding selling behaviors, listening and responding to customer needs to deliver service...like no other
- Sharp awareness of current fashion trends
- Building and cultivating relationships with customers through personal interaction
- Expert on product knowledge, understanding features and benefits and sharing with clients
- Suggestively selling products that will fulfill the customers' wants and needs
- Demonstrate knowledge of store products and services to build sales and loyalty
- Develop repeat business to grow personal sales, utilizing our Follow-up Sales System to maintain client files
- Merchandising and maintaining the appearance and cleanliness of all products, counters, displays, shelves, bins, and customer contact areas by following defined procedures
- Handle customer communication regarding returns and/or problems with orders, return authorizations and maintain related records
- Mentoring, motivating, counseling and monitoring the performance of all front-line staff
- Maintain a high degree of customer satisfaction and loyalty goals with the ability to handle all customer interaction with a positive attitude
- Be able to interpret reporting and help to manage the department by the numbers
- Leading daily meetings with front line staff to review individual and department goals
- Maintain inventory turns at industry benchmarks
- Mark down strategy in keeping with industry benchmarks
- Assist with annual inventory ordering
- Lead continuous improvement efforts that support annual sales goals and cost control
Qualifications & Job Requirements
- Minimum 2-3 years of retail experience
- 45+ Hours - 5 days/week (closed Sundays/Mondays)
- Proven leadership skills and ability to develop a team
- Ducati/Triumph or European motorcycle enthusiast preferred but not required
