About the Job
Our client, a top national law firm, is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal for their downtown Houston office. Paralegal must have 5 plus years of experience working in the litigation section of a mid-sized to large firm. Labor and employment experience preferred, but not required. This is a busy desk and may require some overtime when for preparing and/or attending trial.
Duties will consist of, but not be limited to:
• Arrange and prepare pleadings and discovery in federal and state court civil matters and arbitration proceedings
• Analyze and organize documents and data from materials produced during discovery; coordinate document production; analyze and review of privileged documents
• Prepare deposition and record subpoenas according to federal and state regulation; coordinate production of documents and summarize records; prepare and respond to discovery requests; prepare deposition summaries
• Trial preparation; preparation and management of trial exhibits and other trial related presentations
• Assist with preparation of federal and state administrative filings
• Ability to conduct basis Lexis and Pacer research

Paralegal should also be organized, self-starting, a team player, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Bachelor Degree required. Salary DOE. Firm offers competitive benefits.
