What you need for this position:
- BS in Mechanical Engineering required
- 2-5 years in an aerospace environment, providing project costs and scheduling support
- Hands on experience with new product development
- Experience with drawings, architecture, mechanical and electro-mechanical performance issues
- Experience with customers satisfaction as it relates to cost, quality and delivery issues
- Ability to solve problems and provide solutions with an effective communication style
- Ansys experience preferred, CAD Drafting/3-D Solid Modeling, Pro/E preferred, Minitab preferred
- Experience with sensors or component designs highly preferred.
What you'll be doing:
- Be responsible for product design follow through with design, testing and performance issues
- Mechanical and electro-mechanical, weight analysis and costing and scheduling
- Create, review and approve product drawings, drawing release packages, revisions and other documentation
- Support Materials Review Board activities
- Effective communication and time management skills
- No supervision of others as this is an individual contributor role
