We are looking for an Underwriter for the State of Arizona

Requirements:
- Degree and/or Industry AICPCU designation(s)
- Property & Casualty and Surplus Lines Licenses
Job Duties:
- Use underwriting guidelines, precedence, and experience to analyze risks for brokerage and contract markets
- Review submissions, inspections, and audits and take appropriate action
- Exercise judgment to make rating, quoting, and binding decisions
- Prepare binders for processing and invoicing
- Consistently achieve expected premium goals, revenue growth, and hit and retention ratios
- Cross sell
- Follow company guidelines for processing business
- Provide technical expertise to production, accounting, quality assurance, and claims adjusting personnel as needed
- Provide back up support for renewal underwriting as needed
- Build and maintain producer and company relationships
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and training to other Team member(s)
Service standards:
- Support our “in by 2 p.m., out by 5 p.m.” service commitment to Tier 1 and Tier 2 agents.
- Quote, request additional information or decline within this time frame
- Binder confirmations sent the day of receipt once all binding requirements are met
Marketing:
- Sales calls and new business solicitation
- Attend conventions, seminars, market events, and functions as needed or required
Education:
- Pursue company sponsored AICPCU Designations – ASLI, CPCU, etc.
