MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT/

CORRECTIONAL OFFICER

COLQUITT COUNTY

BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS DEPARTMENT

Applications are being accepted for the above position. Applicant must meet the following requirements:

1. High School Diploma or GED equivalency; and,

2. Current valid Georgia Commercial Driver’s license including appropriate endorsement(s), which must be maintained.

Special Requirements for this position:

1. Must pass P.O.S.T. entrance exam and become certified within six months as a Certified Correctional Officer by the State of Georgia;

2. Must maintain Correctional Officer certification by the State of Georgia; and,

3. Must direct assigned inmates to buildings and grounds maintenance and other related tasks.

All potential employees are required to pass a pre-employment physical, drug test, and may be subject to tuberculosis testing.

All potential employees will submit to an extensive background check.
