Job: Web Architect

About the Job

Description:        The Web Architect sets direction and leads Web Information Technology and infrastructure design, development, deployment and operations. The Architect works closely with the development team to set standards and best practices to guide and assist the application development process. This position serves as a technical consultant on all Web development projects throughout Boscov’s.

Reports to:         Director, Merchandising Systems

Requirements:

Proven track record utilizing common web technologies to implement customer facing commerce solutions.

Expert in HTML5, CSS, JQuery, AJAX, JSP’s, Java, and JavaScript.

Ability to work independently and establish technical recommendations.

Excellent verbal, written communication, motivational, and technical skills.

5+ years relevant experience

Additional qualifications:

Retail Experience, JBoss Transaction Server, Spring Framework, .Net, and development for mobile devices are all pluses.
