Position Summary To provide valet parking services to Hotel/Casino guest in accordance with established policies and procedures.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Greet and welcome all guests in a proper manner.
  • Explain car retrieval procedure.
  • Park vehicles in parking lot for customers.
  • Retrieve vehicles for guest quickly and efficiently.
  • Keep the Valet area clean.
  • Open Hotel doors for guest during slow periods.
  • Run to and from parking lot when parking or retrieving vehicles.
  • Escort incoming hotel guest to rooms, assist with luggage.
  • Offer information pertaining to services and facilities of the hotel, points of interest, and entertainment attractions.
  • Deliver packages, suitcases and trunks.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays and fluctuating days off.
  • Carries out duties of both Coat Room Attendant and Valet Cashier as necessary to cover break periods.

Required Knowledge and Skills
  • Must be at least 18 yrs of age.
  • Must have current drivers license.
  • Able to drive a manual or standard shift transmission.
  • Math skills required to provide accurate change.
  • Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 20 pounds, carry up to10 pounds, and possess the mobility and dexterity to meet the demands incumbent to this position.
  • Must be able to stand 100% of shift
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Driving record must meet driver eligibility requirements of Ameristar's insurance policy.

Required Education and Work Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
