Liberty Mutual Insurance Information Technology is actively searching for an experienced Systems Administrator. In this role you will perform the administrative activities required to support large, complex systems. System administration and operational support tasks will include primary ENDEVOR asupport, daily workload intake support (process RITs), ESP - batch workload automation, and Auto Operations.
You will assist in monitoring of system performance and capacity planning. Troubleshoot and/or interact with IT staff or vendors in testing, operational support and troubleshooting of complex system hardware and software problems. Develop, communicate, and monitor the operational standards and procedures for systems and act as a technical resource to the IT staff and systems users; perform related duties as assigned or requested.

Responsibilities:
- Monitors system performance and capacity, and reports changes in usage.
- Forecasts system demand, recommends upgrades, expansion, and reconfiguration.
- Troubleshoots hardware and software problems, takes appropriate corrective actions and/or interacts with IT staff or vendors in performing testing, support, and troubleshooting functions.
- Participates in site set-up, user training, hardware/software installation, maintenance and support, and documentation of hardware/software logs and operating procedures.
- Performs basic user administration (adds, changes, deletes, disk space management, backups and file restores).
- Documents standards and operating procedures for a large based system, and acts as a technical resource to the IT staff and systems users.
- Leads projects or subprojects including developing project plans, assigning tasks and facilitating team process.
- Consults on technical issues
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline and experience in systems operation and administration, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Knowledge of the operating environment including mainframe, midrange, desktop, server, network data, voice, messaging, web, database, and output/receiving.
- Knowledge of IT concepts, strategies, and methodologies.
- General knowledge of business functions and business operations.
