About the Job
The Project Manager will report directly to the Director of Engineering and Construction Management and will be responsible for:
- Technical management of the project.
- Site construction management of civil, structural, mechanical and electrical system installation.
- Project estimating, implementation and supervision.
- Perform reporting and administrative functions to ensure correct billing and accounting practices are followed.
- Assist in preparation of budgets and forecasting.
Ensure purchasing guidelines are followed.Location:Bethlehem, PA- Ensure excellent product quality and customer service.
- Establish and maintain strong customer relations.
- Ensure operational plan is executed on time and on cost.
- Compute cost factors and prepare estimates, bids and proposals used for management purposes.
- Schedule the project in logical steps and budget time required to meet deadlines.
- Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors or design professionals to discuss and resolve matters, such as work procedures, complaints or construction problems.
- Ensure contractors and project staff adheres to safety standards applicable for the construction site.
Project Manager Job Requirements Include:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering (preferably Mechanical Engineering)
At least 10 years of experience managing major capital projects.To Apply:E-mail Resumes to:- At least 5 years of experience in the cement industry.
- Demonstrated performance in managing capital projects having values in excess of 25 million dollars.
- Travel away from home office is expected to range between 50% and 75% of the time. (Manager is expected to be on the project site when construction work is ongoing).
- Must be able to walk, climb and generally access all areas of site construction. Use of safety equipment to access construction activities is required.
- Knowledgeable in engineering management, construction management, construction execution and cement plant operations.
