Job: Project Manager

Location: Bethlehem, PA 18017

About the Job

The Project Manager will report directly to the Director of Engineering and Construction Management and will be responsible for:
  • Technical management of the project.
  • Site construction management of civil, structural, mechanical and electrical system installation.
  • Project estimating, implementation and supervision.
  • Perform reporting and administrative functions to ensure correct billing and accounting practices are followed.
  • Assist in preparation of budgets and forecasting.
  • Location:

    Ensure purchasing guidelines are followed.
  • Ensure excellent product quality and customer service.
  • Establish and maintain strong customer relations.
  • Ensure operational plan is executed on time and on cost.
  • Compute cost factors and prepare estimates, bids and proposals used for management purposes.
  • Schedule the project in logical steps and budget time required to meet deadlines.
  • Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors or design professionals to discuss and resolve matters, such as work procedures, complaints or construction problems.
  • Ensure contractors and project staff adheres to safety standards applicable for the construction site.
Project Manager Job Requirements Include:
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering (preferably Mechanical Engineering)

    At least 10 years of experience managing major capital projects.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the cement industry.
  • Demonstrated performance in managing capital projects having values in excess of 25 million dollars.
  • Travel away from home office is expected to range between 50% and 75% of the time.  (Manager is expected to be on the project site when construction work is ongoing).
  • Must be able to walk, climb and generally access all areas of site construction.  Use of safety equipment to access construction activities is required.
  • Knowledgeable in engineering management, construction management, construction execution and cement plant operations.
