Job: Process Engineer - Pensacola, FL

Location: Cantonment, FL 32533

Huntsman currently has an immediate opening for a dynamic individual with proven capability as aProcess Engineer to support our Maleic Anhydride manufacturing operations at our Geismar and Pensacola plants for our Performance Products Division,  position located in Pensacola, Florida.


Essential responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following:
  • Provide technical support to the Huntsman manufacturing organization so that the Pensacola and Geismar Maleic Anhydride plants produces the budgeted quantity of product at or below budgetted cost.  In addition, this engineer will work to identify and implement process improvement plans that will lead to increased profitability of the Maleic Anhydride business.  Areas of investigation will include increased plant production capability, reduced manufacturing cost and reduced levels of environmental emissions.
  • Provide technical support to the Huntsman joint venture Maleic Anhydride plants located in Germany and Saudi Arabia.  In addition, the engineer will provide technical support to other Maleic Anhydride plants licensed by Huntsman and located around the world.
  • Protect intellectual property and be aware of patents relevant to development programs, compliance with all relevant secrecy agreements, and proactive initiation of invention reports and patent applications.
  • Represent Huntsman to existing customers and potential customers for the purpose of furthering Huntsman's current and future licensing efforts.
  • Provide technical oversight and support of Maleic Anhydride catalyst installation.
  • Assist in training customers on our technology and operating procedures.
  • Provide technical oversight and support of Maleic Anhydride plant start-ups.
General Responsibilities:
  • Follows instructions and performs other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.
  • Assists other employees in accomplishment of Huntsman company goals.
  • Participates in and completes company-required training programs.
  • Participates in Environmental, Health and Safety initiatives as set forth by the company.
Education and Work Experience Requirements:
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering with 5+ years related experience.
Special Qualifications (Training, Technical skills, etc.):
  • Must have a level of proficiency with Internet, Email, and Microsoft programs.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • PE-License (or on track to obtain license) would be preferred.
