This position is responsible for supporting the long-term growth in sales and profitability of the division, as well as enhanced cash flow, through the effective management and leadership of Supply Chain activities within the Landing Gear division.
¿ Establish and implement the Landing Gear supply chain strategy, directed at optimizing overall Landing Gear financial and operational performance.
¿ Set and administer procurement policy for the division. Policies and procedures must ensure adequate controls to protect the integrity of the company.
¿ Direct the implementation of a cost-effective system to leverage the total spend of the division to provided the needed materials, at the lowest total cost, on-time, with quality and in a manner that optimizes division cash flow.
¿ Establish division-wide processes to monitor the performance of, and trends within the supply base, proactively identifying potential problems and taking effective root-cause corrective actions.
¿ Oversee the training and leadership of department personnel.
¿ Provide leadership, advice and counsel to division management regarding procurement activities and trends.
* Align Landing Gear strategy with corporate commodity strategy
* Provide Delivery Assurance support for all programs
* Analyze inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns, reduce waste, reduce inventory, etc.
* Monitor supplier performance to meet quality and delivery requirements
* Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers where necessary
* Provide resources and support to all corporate supply chain initiatives
Directly supervises 5 employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization¿s policies and applicable law. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Master's degree (M. A.) (or equivalent)
Ten or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Related experience refers to Supply Chain Management leadership in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a mechanical/machining/processing oriented business.
