Our client, strong Fortune 500 Financial Services company, has an immediate need for a Producer/Program Manager with Digital Marketing experience. They are not looking for a Marketing Manager but a strong Project Manager with experience in Digital Marketing.

Purpose:
The purpose of this position is to project manage key thought leadership marketing content projects throughout the year, working closely with Corporate Marketing & Communications, eBusiness, global marketing team leadership, and public relations and creative agencies.
The role will be based in Seattle and will report to the Director, Global Thought Leadership, in Corporate Marketing & Communications. The role will have indirect reporting responsibilities to the Director, Brand & Marketing Operations.
Key operating relationships will be required with global marketing leadership and their teams, corporate design and communications teams, global eBusiness and regional web teams, thought leaders and subject matter experts in the business units, and select vendors.
Description of Responsibilities:
  • 50%: Execute against the project plan, managing the existing project team, distributing project information, managing stakeholder expectations, and conducting procurements. The project aims to deliver a global thought leadership marketing content stream named the 'Multi-Asset Forum' (working title; final title TBD), focused on planned and opportunistic content development. In addition to executing against content generated by the center, the role will need to be able to help identify and integrate ad-hoc content opportunities within the content stream, as directed by the program manager (Director, Global Thought Leadership). Global stakeholder participation and communications will be key to project success, and will be a critical focus for this role. The role must be communicate effectively with both core team members and senior stakeholders, including Executive Committee members, at key decision points along the project.
  • 20%: Create, share, and maintain a project plan, based on the existing brand and thought leadership strategies, new global marketing calendar, and stakeholder input. The plan should outline the project goals, requirements, stakeholders, scope, key activities, estimated timeline and costs, and success metrics. The plan must include a communications plan, time management plan, cost management plan, quality management plan, and risk management plan. (The project has already been initiated; resource allocations are approved).
  • 20%: Monitor and control the project, consistently evaluating progress against quality, cost, and time parameters. This role will regularly request qualitative input from key stakeholders, including feedback on key deliverables from global marketers and thought leaders, corporate communications, global eBusiness, and Compliance, and quantitative inputs such as web metrics, actuals against forecasts, and progress against the schedule, that indicate success or failure against goals.
  • 10%: Close the project, once complete, ensuring all procurements are delivered to client satisfaction, and all contracts are closed out as required. Conduct a project debrief meeting as required, sharing lessons learned with the global marketing teams.
  • Knowledge and Experience Required:
  • 8 years: Ability to translate strategy to execution, identifying objectives and tactics that support project goals, while also creating detailed plans to achieve them.
  • Strong experience in Integrated Marketing Campaigns involving Digital Marketing, especially non-traditional conent such as Blogs, ipad applications and social media..
  • 8 years: Understanding of how to create baselines, set goals, and measure success at appropriate intervals for a variety of marketing and communications-based initiatives. Able to communicate progress and success clearly and simply.
  • 8 years: Exceptional planning and organizational skills and a proven track record of managing successful teams and projects to align to a given schedule, budget and scope. Experience identifying and managing agencies, working closely with corporate procurement and finance teams to manage contracts and forecasts within a given budget.
  • 8 years: Project management skills, able to effectively and efficiently execute against approved strategies, from initiation through close-out. Able to prioritize assignments and activities based on business goals and quicky and easily adjust as required.
  • 5 years: Understanding of B2B marketing strategy and tactics, including some familiarity with how financial services firms establish desired image and reputation (branding) and generate interest and market awareness
  • Preferred: Broad knowledge of markets, economics, and overall business world. Good familiarity with the asset management industry, and how investment firms operate.

  • Strong drive to create efficient systems and processes to streamline and simplify a complex body of work and serve a large number of stakeholders with diverse needs.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, able to spot and correct inaccuracies, incomplete or poor quality content, misspellings, and other issues quickly and easily.
  • Fluency in Microsoft Outlook (including mail and calendar management), Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Education/Certifications
  • BA in Marketing, Business, Communications, or other related field
  • Masters Degree in Business Preferred
  • PMP Certification a plus
